openmelody cms install tips on #debian #ubuntu

unzip it in /var/www

i have the folder melody

edit the default root folder to accept cgi-bins executables by default
in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default
add this way the +ExecCGI to the Options

uncomment

#AddHandler cgi-script .cgi

in /etc/apache2/mods-available/mime.conf

and then restart the apache server
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

install optional modules
apt-get install libcrypt-openssl-dsa-perl libcrypt-ssleay-perl
sudo apt-get install libcache-memcached-perl
sudo apt-get install libarchive-zip-perl
sudo apt-get install libxml-atom-perl
sudo apt-get install libproc-processtable-perl
sudo apt-get install libgd-gd2-perl
